This issue brief described maternal mortality in Kentucky and recommended the following: 1) Invest in capacity for data collection and analysis to support local and regional efforts to improve maternal health, 2) Explore SDOH of maternal mortality in Kentucky more deeply and address root causes through policy and practice considerations, and 3) Broadly disseminate research findings and other forms of reporting to key stkeholders to raise awareness of maternal mortality in Kentucky and leverage additional resources.
